Paula Schnepp, Executive Director – Paula joined the SHA on July 28 as Executive Director responsible for the operation of approximately 60 rental units in 4 SHA-owned locations as well as another 60 vouchers which are utilized at privately-owned rental properties.

 She was previously employed as the Executive Director of the Community Health Center of Cape Cod where she oversaw a period of tremendous growth resulting in an operating budget which grew from $100,000 to $3.5 million.  As part of this growth, she also supervised a three year development process to acquire, permit and build a state of the art medical facility in Mashpee – on time and on budget.

Paula is also an elected  Commissioner for the Barnstable Housing Authority and an appointed  member of the Community Preservation Act Review Committee for the Town of Barnstable.

 

Robert F. Simmons, Jr., Chairman – Bob has been an SHA Commissioner since May of 2005 and a member of the Sandwich School Committee since May of 2006. 

He is currently employed as the Director of Finance and Accounting for A.D. Makepeace Company in Wareham.  A.D. Makepeace is the largest private landowner in Eastern Massachusetts and is currently working on residential, commercial, and retail real estate developments, including an 1100 unit mixed-use village style development which was recently approved by the Town of Plymouth.

Prior to A.D. Makepeace, Bob was employed as the Chief Financial Officer of MB Management Company of Braintree.  MB Management developed, owned and/or managed approximately 5,000 units of affordable and market-rate residential housing across the United States.

 

Daniel DiGiandomenico, Vice Chairman – Dan has been an SHA Commissioner since 2005 and has also been a member of the Sandwich Economic Development Committee.

He is a former Revenue Officer and Group Manager with the Internal Revenue Service and is currently employed as a sales agent with the Sandwich office of Jack Conway & Company.

 

Earl Lantery, Treasurer – Earl has been an SHA Commissioner since 2003 and is also a former School Committee member as well as a former member of the Sandwich Housing Committee, and a former member of several Town Building Committees.  He was also one of the original members of the Sandwich Community School Committee and a founder of the Town Fair Committee.

Earl coordinates the SHA’s Rental Acquisition Program which acquires existing single family homes and converts them to affordable single family rentals.  He also serves as the Sandwich representative to the Barnstable County HOME Consortium and the Housing representative to the Sandwich Community Preservation Review Committee.

Earl is a licensed Civil Engineer and the owner of Muddy Waters Environmental, Inc. an engineering and design firm based in Sandwich.   He is also the founder of Clean Waters NE, a non-profit organization which is developing methods to remove harmful nitrogen compounds from fresh and salt water. 

 

Richard Johnson, Assistant Treasurer Dick has been an SHA Commissioner since 2006 and is the former Mayor of the City of Taunton, as well as the City Manager of Lowell Massachusetts and the Executive Director of the Taunton Housing Authority.  He is also a former member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency as well as President of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.

Dick is currently employed by Utility Service Company Inc. and specializes in the development and operation of municipal water and waste water systems throughout New England.

 

Governor's Appointee - Under Massachusetts  General Law,  four Commissioners are elected by local voters and a fifth is appointed by the Governor.  The SHA is currently awaiting finalization of a new Gubernatorial Appointee.
