Sandwich Housing Authority Hires New Executive Director
The Sandwich Housing Authority is very pleased to announce that Paula Schnepp will be taking over as the new Executive Director of the Sandwich Housing Authority on July 28. Ms. Schnepp is the former Executive Director of the Community Health Center of Cape Cod as well as an elected Commissioner of the Barnstable Housing Authority and a member of the Barnstable Community Preservation Review Committee.
SHA Chairman Robert Simmons said, "Paula is joining the Sandwich Housing Authority at a very exciting time. We are just acquiring our first new property in years using Community Preservation Act funding voted by Town Meeting in 2006 and 2007. We have also begun development work for 24 new apartment units for elderly, handicapped, and other low-income residents adjacent to the George Fernandes Way property. Her development and financial experience will be invaluable in this expansion effort."
The Sandwich Housing Authority is operated by a Board of Commissioners consisting of four members elected by the voters of Sandwich and a fifth member appointed by the Governor. In addition to Simmons, the other elected Commissioners include Earl Lantery, Dick Johnson and Dan Digiandomenico. The fifth seat position is currently vacant pending a new gubernatorial appointment.
